As a Diversity director in higher education, Teresa Taylor-Williams informs, educates, and advocates for the underserved students on her campus. She sits on various committees throughout campus and in the city of Emporia. She is an alumnus of the Advance Kansas diversity training and the KLC Path, the 3-part series hosted by Kansas Leadership Center. She regularly speaks to students, academic departments and community groups regarding DEI issues. Teresa sits on two of the City of Emporia’s committees: The Human Relations Commission and the Community Corrections Advisory Board. She was also appointed by Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly to the Kansas Board of Healing Arts, Respiratory Care Council, from February 2021-present.
